start
Boot the sandbox from the latest snapshot, provision the agent, and start the sidecar process.
Usage
clawrun start <instance>Start the sandbox for an instance. If the sandbox is already running, the command reports the existing sandbox ID.
Arguments
| Argument | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
instance | Yes | The instance name |
Behavior
Sends a POST to the instance's /api/v1/sandbox/start endpoint with an admin JWT for authentication. The request triggers the full sandbox lifecycle: creating the sandbox from the latest snapshot (if available), provisioning the agent, starting the sidecar, and verifying health.
Response
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
running | Sandbox started successfully. Displays the sandbox ID |
failed | Sandbox failed to start. Displays the error message and exits with code 1 |
If the HTTP request itself fails (non-2xx status), the command prints the status code and response body.
