Installation

System requirements

• Node.js 20 or later
• A Vercel account (for sandbox hosting)

The Vercel CLI is required for deployment but will be installed automatically by clawrun deploy if it's not already on your system.

Install the CLI

npm install -g clawrun

Verify the installation:

clawrun --version

Instance directory

ClawRun stores all instance data under ~/.clawrun/. Each instance gets its own subdirectory with agent configuration, secrets, and deploy artifacts.

You can override the default location by setting the CLAWRUN_HOME environment variable:

export CLAWRUN_HOME=/path/to/custom/dir

Updating

To update to the latest version:

npm install -g clawrun@latest
