invite
Create a shareable invite URL with a custom TTL and a scannable QR code for giving others access to the web chat.
Usage
clawrun invite <instance> [--ttl <duration>]Generate a shareable invite link and QR code for the web chat interface. Useful for giving others access to your agent without sharing credentials.
Arguments
| Argument | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
instance | Yes | The instance name |
Options
| Option | Short | Description |
|---|---|---|
--ttl | -t | Invite link lifetime. Default: 10m. Maximum: 7d |
TTL format
Durations use the format <number><unit>:
| Unit | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
m | Minutes | 30m |
h | Hours | 1h |
d | Days | 2d |
If the TTL exceeds 7 days, it is capped at 7d.
Behavior
- Signs a JWT invite token with the specified TTL using the instance's JWT secret
- Constructs the URL:
{deployedUrl}/auth/accept?token={jwt} - Displays the instance name, expiration time (human-readable), and the full URL
- Renders an ASCII QR code in the terminal for easy scanning on mobile devices
The invite link authenticates the user when visited. Once accepted, the browser session lasts 8 hours regardless of the original invite TTL.
Unlike clawrun web, which opens your own browser with a short-lived token, invite is designed for sharing. The output includes both a copyable URL and a scannable QR code.
