Available Tools
Tools currently supported by ClawRun for installation inside sandboxes.
Your agent comes with its own built-in tools for file operations, shell commands, web requests, and more. These are always available and require no setup.
On top of those, ClawRun can install additional tools into the sandbox that extend what the agent can do. These are external binaries, selected during clawrun deploy and installed by the sidecar at startup.
Installable tools
| Tool | Description |
|---|---|
| Agent Browser | Headless Chromium browser for web browsing and screenshots |
| GitHub CLI | GitHub CLI for managing repos, issues, and PRs |
| Find Skills | Discover and install agent skills from the skills.sh registry |
How installation works
Tools are installed by the sidecar in the background after sandbox startup. This means tool installation does not block the agent from starting.
- The sidecar runs the tool's check command to verify if it's already installed
- If not installed, it runs the tool's install steps sequentially
- Failed installations retry up to 3 times with a 5-second delay between attempts
- If all retries fail, the sidecar logs the error and continues without the tool

Skill files
Each tool can ship a SKILL.md file that teaches the agent how to use it. When a tool is selected during deploy, its SKILL.md is seeded into the agent's workspace at workspace/skills/<tool-id>/SKILL.md. The agent reads these files to learn tool-specific commands and workflows.
Network policy
If your sandbox uses a restricted network policy, the deploy CLI will prompt you to add the tool's required domains to the allowlist. Without these domains, the tool cannot be downloaded.
